Jensen and Chuck Starkey cues

Hi AZers,

Can somebody who has played both with Jensen's and Starkey's cues tell me some opinion about them? For a low price range(around 300$) which is the better choice in your opinion...I've heard nice words for them but just need some info from people who have tried them. I know that jensen's cues are generally in higher range class but I've found a cheaper one..

I like starkey cues

Never owned a Jenson....but I own 2 Starkeys and a third one on the way. In my opinion they play as good as they look. Wait till you see that wood pin, it is odd...but that's what makes Starkey cues great. Fit and finish are always right on, if you want a player this is the way to go. Just look when he posts one forsale here on AZ , they simple don't last very long.

I never hit with a Jensen. Chuck let me test hit one of his cues at Shooters in Olathe. I loved the hit and control of the cue ball that I
got with it.

I've used a starkey. i'm a fan of the way his cues play. the one got a chance to play with played like a good 1 piece cue. They're real affordable too
 
I never hit with a Starkey, but I own a jensen that hits real good.
I also know three guys named Starkey who own Jensen cues.
 
It's really not a fair comparison.

Mike has been building cues for 30 years. His cues hit as good as Motteys, Scruggs, Tad, Joss West, etc. They're in that category for good reason.

I AM NOT disparaging Chuck or his cues - I've heard good things about Chucks cues.

But your comparison is like a KIA vs BMW, imho.

The REAL question might be, "Who builds a sweet, great playing, custom made $300 cue?" Then my answer is Chuck Starkey.

hanv't play with a Jensen cue yet but only heard good things about them.
The few chuck starkey cues I've played all are solid cues.
