Man O Man Did I Understand It Right That J.j Ran The Final 5 Racks Against R. Morris And Then His Next Match Against Shannon Daulton He Ran 9 More Racks To Start That Match,wow 14 Straight Racks ,thats Amazing, Wonder What Size Tables ?
 
The gold crowns were 4 1/2 x 9s w/ newish cloth. The pockets, I think, were single shimmed. Definitely not buckets. In my experience, all the tables broke verry well, though I didnt play on the front one.

JJ is one bad ass MFer. Know that.
 
Did J. Jones break and run out 14 racks or did he win 14 racks in a row in a combined 2 matches? Some people like to exaggerate when people win alot of games in a row. Just wondering...
 
Aside from Buddy Hall. Jeremy has some of the best fundamentals of any player i've ever seen. When he gets in dead stroke you won't be stopping him for a while.
 
A few times match reports have had information about many racks strung together when it hasn't been the case. It's easy to get confused if the report says for instance: "player x closed the match with 5 racks in a row." It doesn't necessarily mean he run 5 racks, he might have won 5 racks in a row no matter how many times his opponent got to the table.

My hat off to JJ if he run 14 racks no matter what size pockets there were ! JJ is a very strong player and I wouldn't doubt if someone would report him running 14 racks!
 
Neils Feijen of Holland broke and ran 15 consecutive racks a couple years ago during a practice session, that is why I think this young man will be a future World Champion.


As for JJ I think he did RUN 14 consecutive racks or at least it sounds like it...

"Morris led the match with Jones 10-6, but was forced to watch as Jones RAN the final five racks for the hill-hill win."

"Jones took complete control of the semi-final match with Shannon Daulton RUNNING 9 straight racks"

Since they said he ran the racks not he won the racks it sounds like he actually ran the racks, I'm sure somebody here that was attending the tourny can clear this up...anybody??
