Is this single phase 220?Do you know the rough weight?
I have the same lathe. Kind of a pain for not having a jog button for threading but I am using live threading so no biggie.
Those machines are still for sale by Jet and they cost over 4K. Good catch. The lathe looks in very good condition.
What does a jog button have to do with threading???

Instead of rotating the chuck by hand you use the jog button. Not for every process. I just rotate mine by hand now or use live threading.

And you should know this:
The jog button has absolutely nothing to do with threading. The jog button serves two purposes. It is used on large lathes where the inertia of the gearbox is too great for hand positioning or lathes with a spindle brake for accurate positioning of the spindle. It is also considered a safety feature on some lathes creating good habits for operators in keeping their hands away from the chuck when the spindle motor is on but the spindle lever is off. This prevents accidents from unintentional engagement by the operator when their attention is elsewhere.
Could it be used during threading operations on a lathe? Sure. But it has nothing to do with threading on a lathe.
When I had a gear head with jog, I used jog to make sure the gears were engaged. Thanks.
I don't see why you'll have to jog to thread. The threads wouldn't look good ( live threading ) on wood.
You can engage the thread gears then let the cutter hit the wood ( inside or outside ) down the depth while the chuck is spinning then engage the lever.
Threading a blind hole going out is a process learned with a live threader .
You have to know your thread cutter size, neck and shank.
I decided I didn't like tapping under power after I tried it once. I saw Joe Barringer do it in his videos, but I think the little time saved comes at too much of a cost in regards to safety....even a lowest speeds...by hand eliminates the stupidity I am sometimes inclined to exhibit(like forgetting to change spindle speeds....
)I suppose with the tapping aid in the tail stock and the T bar removed it would be ok. God help you if you leave the T bar in and the bar comes down against the cross slide.

This is where I like belt drives.
" Assisted " tapping I call em.
Disengage the gears but keep the belt connected.
You can turn the motor on and the belt will slightly turn that chuck and you give a spin by hand. No danger at all. As soon as the tap tightens, you can back out by spinning the chuck the other way and pushing the tailstock.
I mark the starting point on tap and which way of the chuck was up.

I do but how quick are YOU if the spindle gets left on 2000 and your tap bites at 10 tpi?!?!?
