it is NOT phenallic...ferrule appears to be some type of white "melamine"...very hard...tip is a layered buffalo similar to the Samsara layered tip...rates about an 8 on 1-10 scale of hardness....cue is very stiff and breaks really well
 
Does anyone have contact info for Joe? If anyone is looking for a good J/B, I met Joe and he let me break with one of these at Shooters in Olathe. These break like a ton!
