Until then, all you are, and continue to be, is a gas bag that just wants to talk instead of getting in the box. He hasn't said no. He's said "come and get it". The champion doesn't have to walk up to the contender. In any sport. So why is this different?

As for gas bag....you're still here talking with zero skin in the game while I have already put up 10k once and will put up 20k again if Lou ever finds a heart. Maybe he ought to replay somewhere over the rainbow on his ipod and ask the wizard for a heart.

If you want to know what stupid is.....I am sure you pass many mirrors each day. Now if you will excuse me I am trying to close this deal for 180k.

Don't you mean "you expensed $10k"? That's what you said in a previous post. Which was it? Heart, or expense? I get confused with all this spinning....

$180K? I heard through the grapevine that Lou just successfully closed a deal for $190K, even more than yours. You lose yet again, Mr. Impressive Business Man.

I know it's hard to follow Shawn. An expense is an outgoing amount of money. Had I won then I would have booked it as income.

Still heart to risk 10k even if you can account for the 10k loss as a marketing expense.

I know you are confused. Don't worry it will pass when you stop trying to deal with concepts far above your level.

No. What "expensed" means is that you wrote the loss off as a business expense. It means it comes off your before tax earnings, and lowers your taxable income. So, your "$10k" out of pocket isn't really out of pocket. Some of us also have business experience, John. So, for once and for all...did you man up, bet $10k, and lost the $10k, or did you actually deduct it from your before tax earnings....ie, expensed it?

Please clarify, spin doctor.

Just wait....there's more. I powered up the fitness tracker to get some data on what this type of speed pool does in terms of steps and calories burned.

Will post that video in a few days just as soon as I find some Richard Simmons shorts.....

Silly Shawn, of course I expensed it why would I ever do it any other way? Even if I had reached into my personal account to pull 10k out and gamble with it I would have reported it as a loss and reduced my taxable income.

So I got the "benefit" of saving a little on my taxes.....woo hoo it was still 10k gone from my money....I know this is really "taxing" what little brain you have but hopefully you will get it.

Now let's ask Lou if he told the IRS he had $10,000 in extra income. I think I need to file an amendment to my return and send him a 1099 to show that he did indeed receive that income. Don't you think I should do this Shawn? Since he constantly crows about how HE won 10k?

I think it will cost me a couple hundred to file a late 1099. Probably worth it at this point. I will check with the IRS office tomorrow when I go there and get the facts on how to file one several years later.
