John Davis Heartwood birdseye maple into African blackwood

This one is going across the pond. The customer hunted hard for the right piece of birdseye before sending it and the African blackwood to John Davis. Davis then sent it to me when the blank was done.

All white is deer antler. Customer chose the basic design of adding the sleeve on the end and adding the dot inlays. He also asked for a minimal satin type finish so he could feel the grain and character in the wood.

Hey Joey...the forearm is cored with straight grained Pernambuco.
