Is the forearm cored? It looks like the points in the sleeve are aligned 45 deg. from the points in the forearm, is this true? Are the two shafts different tapers?

the points are off set for contrast and the shafts are exactly the same taper.
This cue is one of the finest Snakewood cues I've seen
