Brackets have been updated in the Turning Stone tournament. John Morra continued his winning ways and defeated Sambajon 9-5 while Jose Parica prevailed over Korsiak.

No updates yet on the losers' side matches between Luat/Moore and Archer/Kiamco.

WOW. My bets with the V-bookie are looking pretty cool. I got 6 v-chips on Jose Parica, and I got John Morra for 500 v-chips as "Somebody Else."

Now, this enhances my chances! :D

What an exciting tournament! :)

This may be the last time Morra is "somebody else." I had the pleasure of seeing him play a couple years ago at the BCA Jr.'s and he is one smooth player.

One thing for sure, if the kid can compete in this kind of environment, the pressure of shooting in a 120-plus player tournament at the Turning Stone Casino, he'll be a monster his next time out of the gate! :p

Man, it's snowing like crazy here in D.C. I wasn't expecting it. I wonder what the weather is like up there in Verona, New York! I'm going to have to put in a call to my Ace Reporter, Frankie White, soon! ;)

Stevie Moore wins over Luat, 9 to 6. There goes my Luat bet! Congrats to American Southern charmer, Stevie Moore, though! :D

Now it will be a battle between the North and the South: Joey K vs. Stevie Moore.

Johnny Archer knocked out Warren Kiamco, 9 to 7, on the B side of the charts.

Johnny now faces Santos in a fight to stay alive. This will be a very long match because both of them, Johnny and Santos, seem to have the pace of a snail when they lock horns. Get the popcorn out! :p

So much for the people that were pointing out the "dominance" of the Filipinos at this event.................... Marc

Jose and Santos are still in, two Americans and two Filipinos. :p

I'll tell you what, I like Jose Parica in this spot. He's fighting for the hot seat, and Jose can get there. The closer he gets to the finish line, the stronger his game is. I'd love to see Jose win. However, seeing John Morra would be a real nice story, but then again, Joey K is a mainstay on the tournament trail and so deserving. Stevie Moore is on fire in recent times, so this win would really be an excellent score. :)

Wow, now that I think about it, I like all four of 'em! :o

May I ask how many filipinos joined in this 120-man event that reached the final 8?

6 filipinos entered the tour and only four got to the final 8............i think they're slipping......lol

In case anyone is interested, Santos got knocked out by Archer.

Jose and Morra play, and the loser of that match plays Johnny Archer. Oh, boy! :D

Out of the three, I'm pulling for the kid or Jose. Archer just won a tournament last week, so he ain't hurting! :p
