The cue has been sold.
I bought this cue from John when he would make the drive in from the Santa Barbara area to play in the first Saturday of the month 9 Ball single elimination tournaments for B players.
Bill Duke who ran the tournament handicapped the Top players, Keith McCready, Hawaiian Brian, Ernesto Dominguez and other top players who I do not remember by having them spot the B players two games going to seven.
The A players who were not quite as good as the Top level players spotted the B players one game going to seven.
While one or two games going to seven is not much of a spot for a B player it was enough of a spot that no Top player ever won the tournament. For Keith or Brian to win the tournament they would have to win six sets in a row.
Brian did the best by making it to the final match against me and instead of playing our match Brain said toss a coin for who wins. I won the coin toss but if we had played I am sure Brian would have beat me because he had not missed a shot in his previous five sets.
Part of the tournament's success was Bill paid back 100% of the entry fees.
John did well enough in the tournament to make it worth the one hour and twenty minute drive to Sherman Oaks and he usually had a customer for one of his unique cues.
There is a bow when the cue is rolled on a pool table.
I haven't been able to figure out how to add a video of the cue rolling on a pool table.
The how to post a video on AZB does not match the screen on my computer.
If you tell me your email I will send you the videos.
The cue is at least 35 yers old and it could be as old as 45 years old.
Like most of my cues I hit a few balls with it and put it away.
Four floating points with red and withe veneers.
Four smaller points ending at the wrap.
Four large diamonds just above the butt plate.
Four smaller diamonds on the joint.
I do not know the materials.
Butt weight 15.3 ounces
Both shafts are 13 mm and weigh 4.4 and 4.7 ounces
Butt Length 29 inches plus 5/16 rubber bumper
Both shaft are 29 inches long
Please tell me how fast you would like to have the cue shipped
