I got John's two DVD's in the mail a few days ago. I haven't played 14.1 in many years, but I have to take back what I said on here a few times over the years. I said that 14.1 was the easiest game of all the top four games for the top pros. I said you needed to play good position but didn't need to be a great shot maker. After watching John, I can see how wrong I was. He missed position a few times and got some bad rolls when he was over a 100 balls, forcing him to take long cut-shots, banks, and hard combo's. If that was me that already ran over 100 balls and had to make a long hard cut-shot, I would have shook myself to death aiming the shot.

I can't think of anyone any better to watch, listen, and learn from than John. I have to admit I really never watched someone great playing 14.1 for anymore than a few racks. I have run over 100 back in the day twice. But they both were on an old brunswick with close he 5" corner pockets and all the stars were alligned just right. I did have quite a few 70/80 ball runs back then, but that's about all we played in NY then, until #^#$%% 9-ball was the only game being gambled on in the rooms. I hate Tom Cruise.

If you play a lot of 14.1 or even if you don't, pick up a copy to help your other games. It has already got my 8-ball and 9-ball game back on track. So to me, they have already paid me back. Johnnyt
