Johnny Archer - DCC Straight Pool Challenge Video

I tried uploading this video to Google, and I've been waiting 4 days for them to process it -



For now, screw Google.



I went ahead and loaded it up to Veoh -there you can see a 5 minute preview, and if you download the Veoh-TV - you can watch the entire thing.

The VeohTV is a free download, and pretty cool (IMO).

Johnny Archer 41 and 50 ball Run

Though these runs are not high, Johnny makes some very nice tactical moves - break outs - and follows some flawless patterns. The numbers don't reflect it, but its some good 14.1 - trust me.

As an added bonus, if you watch the entire video, you can watch the top of the screen and see Alex Pagulayan shoot a 15 and out in the one pocket challenge.

I have a few more videos that I plan on uploading later this week - 1 more of Johnny Archer (56), a 98 by Thorsten Hohmann, and a few nice runs by Bob Hunter.

Something must be wrong on Google's end. On Friday, I uploaded Johnny's 41 & 50, and another video of Johhny running 56. They uploaded and they went through the processing, its just that when you click on "VIEW" or go to the link, it says that the video is unavailable because it is still processing.

I have found that Veoh is much more efficient - check it out - its MUCH quicker and easier than Google - and the video quality is awesome.

I downloaded the Archer video last night and watched the first 2 racks or so. Blackjack, I like your commentary but there were a few shots there that were a little suspect and you gave him the "Nice shot" remark when I personally thought he got a little fortunate. Especially that shot in the first rack where he caromed off that ball into the corner. You said something like "I don't think he needed to do that" when you should have said "I don't think he meant to do that" Let's face it, he's a great champion and a helluva shooter, but he didn't meant to brush that ball going in and he was fortunate that it didn't hit the tit and bounce out on him. I may try to figure out a way to cut the audio on there now and do my own commentary over it. Sounds fun. hehe!!

I would like to say publicly that I meant nothing against Blackjack on his commentary. I loved it. Easy to listen to and very informative. My complaint in my earlier post wasn't on the commentary, it was that Archer, even as great as he is, gets a lucky roll here and there like the rest of us and I still think that shot where he kissed that ball in was lucky that it didn't bounce out on him. He's too meticulous of a player to get down and shoot a kiss shot without walking around the table a bunch of times and checking out all the angles. He got down on that shot without even looking at that kiss. It was a lucky brush.

Again, nothing against Blackjack at all. I look forward to listening to his commentary again. And what I said about removing the audio and doing my own over it I was hoping that if I could that Blackjack could listen to mine and give an opinion on how I see the layouts and what Archer is doing. That would be so cool to have different opinions on shots and be able to compare notes.

I know that the original raw video was given to AZBTV and they never did anything with it. It was only after a long period had gone by with no response that we decided to do something else with it.


Kudos to Blackjack for stepping up to the plate and adding the commentary.

The file size limit is 100 MB to upload the video to AZBTV - it's too much of a pain in the ass to break it down into pieces - so I loaded the videos up to Veoh and Google. If anybody wants to download them and break them up in little pieces, have at it.
