Johnny Archer - Elite

Consider this as a measure of this man's skill, style, demeanor, and personality: you almost never hear a bad word about him on this forum. How many topics or players could you name where AZB'ers are in almost universal agreement? The only other one I can think of is Efren. Pretty rare.

the only bad thing I've ever heard about him is that he plays too slow when there isn't a shot clock. I think he has improved in that aspect in recent years though

Proud to be a regular patron of his pool room! Whenever the boys want to get together I always suggest MBC!

I said this in another thread, but I think the following team would have the best chance of beating Europe. I think these guys should be sent regardless of points: SVB, Archer, Deuel, Earl, Morris- I think they would be an even bet or maybe even favorites

I'd like to see the top 4 on the ranking list be on the team.....
...there are always players who say they haven't played in enough events..
...I say, support the game or pay the price.

I'd like to see the fifth player voted in by AZ....
..the last time that happened, USA won....
...and the player who got voted in won MVP

... I didn't keep track, did johnny miss anything?

Well, he wasn't perfect. In fact, he had a bad start:

Team Match, Game 2, Archer vs. Appleton.
Archer made the 1 on the break, then missed the 2. A series of safeties and kicks followed until an Appleton kick left a simple 2-ball for Johnny. He missed and Darren ran out. This knotted the game score at 1-1 after Hatch started out by beating Feijen.

So Johnny's start was wobbly, but he sure finished well!

tap tap tap. He proved what a hall of famer should be in every respect. Well played Johnny well played
