Guys I just got a Scorpion JA03 cue. The same cue Johhny plays with. I also got a R360 shaft (fits great on it).
I love the cue very much. The balance is nice, crisp hit and nice feel to it.
Now, I had a problem with the weight. Is a little underweight for me..around 18.5oz...I didn't know that in order to change the weight bolt you need to remove the whole metallic butt plate (noob or not experienced ;)). I removed it by mistake and now I can change the weight easily. Yaaay!!!!
I believe there are a few memebers here who use Cuetec cues so I hope they can help me.
My question is can I use the Cuetec smart extension on this cue? And how?
It seems that the pin on the extension is way thinner than the thread in the Scorpion's butt.
Any idea or info is appreciated.
I can provide pics if necessary.

PS: I really like this cue ;)

Thanks guys. Chris

Take it to a cuemaker and have him change the bolt on your cue and have him tap the screw to fit the cuetec extension.
Can`t be to difficult.

First problem is that Scorpion cues are not made by Cuetec. They are made in China for Cuestix, the wholesaler out of Boulder CO. For that reason alone they are likely not compatible. As Kim Bye said, you may be able to have a cuemaker fit the extension to your cue. Good luck with your search.

Thank you guys. I was thinking the same thing. I just thought that if the pin on the joint is the same as Cuetec the extension will also fit the butt end.
Appreciated. All the best. Chris
