I was watching the Mosconi Cup from 2012 and saw that Archer beat both Van den Berg and Feijen in singles matches that year. Is Archer the only American to win 2 singles matches for the Americans at a Mosconi Cup in the last 7 or 8 years?

As solid as Johnny shoots along with his experience, I believe he should be on this years team. I don't believe Corey Deuel should ever be on a Mosconi Cup team again, Dechaine has all but retired, etc.

Thoughts?

Archer, Strickland and Soquet should be on a permanent roster for Mosconi, along with maybe Immonen for the euro side. When those guys can't play anymore, then find replacements.

Shane and Johnny played very well together also. I watched that match on YouTube the other day.

Archer is the assistant captain to Ruijsink for this year's Mosconi Cup. Not sure if that takes him out of the running for being a player, but I would guess it does.

In order for any player to make the team you have to wins points in certain events. Unlike matchroom who decides which euros will play which I think is crap

Maybe try researching a little before posting crap.

This year the US has way more flexibilty in it's team selection. Ruysink can pick any 4 of the top 10 in the Mosconi points list, and 1 other player top 10 or not.

Europeans have 3 players who have to qualify (top of euro-tour rankings, and top two of world rankings), then 2 captain's picks.
