Great looking table. It looks real solid, something Id love to own.

Yep! 2 1/4" + 2 1/4" = 4 1/2"

Measured at the points. The pic shows two balls snug in the pocket at the points.

Ah, gotcha. I wasn't aware of exactly WHERE the measurement was taken. Makes sense.

"at the points" there is a gap a little less than a 1/4 in. between the balls. The table plays great.
