Joint/Pin Help

I am looking to get a new pair of joint protectors for my cue but I canno't remember what type of Pin/Joint is on the cue, is there any way to work this out by looking at the Pin/Joint.

What kind of cue is it?

We can tell you based on thread pitch and pin basic size, but sometimes the cuemaker will do just enough funkiness that simply saying it's such and such could be wrong.
 
If you have a set of calipers (or a micrometer), you can measure the diameter of the pin itself (i.e. 5/16ths, 3/8ths, etc.). A simple ruler held up to the side of the pin will tell you how many threads-per-inch there is.

If it's a Uni-Loc (or any other configuration of quick realease pins), or a Radial, it should be obvious by looking at it.

I realize this info is very generic, but it's a starting point.

It's a Carolina Custom Cue by Trevor Donahue if that's of any help?.
 
Thanks for the help I appreciate it, also while I remember what type of pin/joint do Scorpion cues use?

I don't know Donahue, but Carolina uses 3/8-10 and 5/16-14 (piloted) joints in the cues listed on their site. I guess you can have your Carolina cue build with almost whatever joint you prefer. My Carolina has uni-loc joint.

Meassure the diameter and count threads per inch or post a picture of your joint pin.
