Joint Protectors recommendation

Hey hey everyone:
I have been in the market for a few sets of joint protectors and found a seller on ebay that makes his own. I worked a deal outside of ebay for 3 sets of 5/16x14, 1 cocobolo, 1 ebony and 1 maple and very pleased with the gentleman's product, quick communication and shipping. So much so I wanted to pass along his info. Two of these sets were 2 piece(m/f) and the other was a 3 piece set. With shipping, the total was in the $30.00 range. Nothing fancy, but nice work and right in my budget.
Below is a link to some of his current auctions and his email address incase you want to reach him directly. I am not sure if anyone has dealt with Lonnie before, but I recommend him.
So if you need some real wood, simple design protectors with a quick turn around and friendly service, look him up.

I purchased a few sets of palted maple from him last week they are very nice and great guy to do business with

I also ordered from Lonnie and the best part is that although there were no auctions for the style of protectors that I was looking for, Lonnie built me a set in just a few days out of any wood that I wanted.
Excellent service.

I got a set of cocobolo joint protectors from him a year or so ago for my Gilbert J/B and they look great on it. Very high-quality product for a low price.

Excellent service.

That is how I came upon mine. They were not listed and he custom made them in a few days. It took about 90 minutes in email time to discuss/comfirm my order, simple paypal payment and week later I received them via USPS.

Glad to hear others stories.

Bought 2 sets. Terrible finish, and neither fit properly the butt. Actually had to send them out to a proper builder to get them re threaded. Cheap price, but don't expect much. Do a search and see the threads on this guy...however, I will say he was pleasant and quick to reply in setting up the deal.

Terrible Dealings

I bought 2 sets, fit was really poor.
I never complained after he sent a replacement to me because he was such a nice guy and has such a story behind it all. It sounds that he has learned from his mistakes...which is good to hear.

I had similar results yally. The finish looked as if it was globbed on by a 12 year old. The fit was only fair. He may have refined his finish process by now I hope.

For solid, well made non-fancy JP's made of solid indestructable white or black delrin it's tough to beat Joe Picone/Itsadeal on ebay. $11 per pair.

Would also recommend Camcues and Steve Kornelle's JP's.

Dan Trogden made a set made for my Sailor. www.trogdoncues.com Beautiful work. Reasonable price.

I see the guy this thread started out recommending is handicapped. That makes it more likely I'll buy some from him... especially if he gets fitted to do S W cues.

yeah...i think lonnie is a veteran of this great country of ours....even more reason to buy from him...go u.s.a !!!! alan....

Lonnie's JPs

I thought I threw them away but cleaning out my cue case I found one set...I barely was able to separate them and will be sending them to Jeff with the Mandigo Jps he just bought from me.
