If you are referring to the Uni-loc brand radial joint screw then the answer is no. The Uni-loc radial is something like 7.2x tpi (threads per inch) while the Mezz wavy is an off-shoot of the joint pins that I use, since 2002, for my Japan market cues. They are 3/8" x 9 tpi.
The reason for this configuration is that I received quite a number of repairs on Uni-loc brand pin cues. With the heft of the wood threads on the shaft (female), increased humidity swelled these and caused difficulty in tightening and unscrewing. The 9tpi configuration cured this problem because the lesser contact face threads didn't swell as much to cause as much dimension change as the 7.2x tpi.
