The Jointed Cue reopened last week after being shut down for 3 1/2 years. For those that don’t know the story, the guy who had filed thousands of complaints about buildings that were not up to code for the disabled, filed against the pool room without ever stepping foot in it. Jointed Cue was one of many businesses who had to shut down because of this guy who finally got busted himself.
This iconic old pool room, designed and built by Terry Stonier, hosted tournaments that attracted the best pool players in the world. The tournament records still hang on the walls with pictures of the many who have played there. They kept the room the same, but upgraded everything and added two Diamonds to the tournament room. Do not miss a chance to visit and check it out if you are in Sacramento.
The new owners are pool players, and there are plans for more tournaments and streaming once they get rolling. I have included a pic of yours truly and Bart Mahoney, an old friend, one pocket player and contractor who helped them rebuild and remodel this great old pool room.
