Hi everyone,

Can you please tell me if there's a difference in playability if a cue has uniloc joint or a different type of joint (i.e. G10)

As well, what is the difference between LBM and ivory ferrules ? I understand it's the material but what else ? I see a lot of highend cues with LBM ferrules and I could use some clarifications.

Thanks

The joint is one issue that could have tons of variables like flat faced, collar and so on that would make a G-10 and a Uni-Loc play differently in addtion to jus the weight of the pin. SO I will let others address that one. But as far as ferrules go. Most LBM hits just a little softer and quieter than Ivory. The big advantage to Ivory is how easy it is to clean and how clean it stays. The Ivory ferrule hit is an inquired taste that many do not care for and others swear by. Kind of like beer. I hate the taste of that stuff, but others swear it tastes good.
