I know the area has been hit extremely hard with storms earlier this year and im sorry for anyones loss that is in that region..With that being said..I plan to be in that area to visit with some people for a few days and was wondering if they have any pool halls that are open out that way?Thanks in advance...

OK Bar at about 15xx south Main is still open so far as I know. They have a few tables, even one snooker table I'm told. Haven't been in there in years. Jesters was just down the street a few doors and wasn't a bad room but they recently closed. (West) 4th Street Bowl has several tables as well as one fairly decent snooker table. Pool rooms in SW Missouri are a rarity, most all that is left is a bar tables except for a very few places in Springfield. Those will probably have to shut their doors as well due to the new smoking ban there.

You have the right idea, Joplin is not a ghost town...
I am glad some people are thinking about doing business in Joplin.... they need the economic boost. Instead of buying what I needed last week in Tulsa, which would have had more selection, I went to Joplin and spent my dollars there and got a good deal. Evidence of the goodness of those in Joplin- the front is torn off the dollar store, but there are products sitting there on the shelves- no looting.
