That's interesting. Dan Janes once told me that if it does not say Joss on it, Joss did not make it. These cues do not say Joss on them.

I once had a crystal leisure cue made by Joss that didn't say Joss on it. I sold it to a buddy who still plays with it. Years ago when I was investing it Joss had a website "Joss archives" and there were brochures for a couple different companies like Chrystal leisure that didn't have the Joss name on them.
I remember the archives well. They had models for various distributors. I have two of those, both say Joss on them, not on the butt cap, they are stamped Joss on the joint collar with a Joss number.
I'm not doubting what you say. It's just that I keep running into what Dan said and some confusion about who made certain lines of cues. I don't know how to resolve it.
There are cue lines that were made by Joss that were not marked Joss as far as I know, and as you observed. But those same lines at different times were made by others. A good example is Brunswick. Traditionally, we often say the 14 pin cues are the Joss ones, but I don't know if that is really consistently valid because Falcon and others used 14 pins.

Those cues I mention do usually say Joss, often in very tiny letters...but I have seen that they don't always say Joss.
From 1996 through 2022, they should have a serial number. But do they all? Of course the cues we are talking about here are from a 1996 catalog, so that does not apply.
These particular Corvette cues are from before the huge influx of Chinese clones and fakes, so that's not what I am talking about.
Finally, I have an observation and a question. These are overlay cues. Joss made overlay cues?

So I played pool with my buddy the other night and realized I remembered things incorrectly. There was a Joss logo on the cue, but I do remember in the archives it was sold by Crystal leisure.
And yes, that is not the original bumper, I added an extension kit to this cue for him a couple years ago.

Anybody know the model number for this cue? I have an email from Dan from 2021 stating it's a Joss but he doesn't have any records of it.
It says Joss on the joint with serial number F00049 with the 9 slightly askew. It has 6 points all the same size. I don't know when it was built, the woods or materials used, or anything like that. I bought it new and I've had it since 2006 - that's all I know.

If Dan couldn't ID it by the number there is little chance we can.
Where did you buy it? From what dealer or distributor? That could help. More detailed pics of the forearm might help to. The butt sleeve is clear but the forearm is fuzzy.
