That's one of the good ones before they started turning out the low end cues in high volume. I think if it's straight (butt and shafts) and in fair condition $1800 is a fair price and the cue would be worth refinishing down the road if you like it after you get it and it needs a new finish.

I had a 71 Joss, very similar but with steel joint, same collars....18 thread pin.
I loved it, but how do you turn down a six-point Black Boar..even trade?

anyone have a clue of when it was made I asked joss and they said maybe similar to the diamond line of 87 only custom but I thought it was from earlier then that joss wrote an appraisel in 97 for 3800.00 although I,m sure it was for insurance purpose not a true price but I didn't get a very good response from joss about any of it

It's mid 1970s, right around '75....and one of only a handful or two all-tall 6-pointers they did back them. This is what I recall Dan telling us several years back.

My buddy has one that's very similar. I know he wouldn't consider taking 1800 for his.

I'm thinking similar to cueaddicts. I have a 6 pointer from that era myself. Unless yours was refinished, it looks to be in excellent condition for its age. I would go for it.

Definitely mid 70s, mine was 1976. Not many six pointed Joss cues with veneers. With a fair number of inlays, I don't think 1800 does it, but in this market, ... I don't know. I certainly wouldn't let it go for that.

You won't go wrong buying this cue if it is straight and sound. Looks like one of the better JOSS blocked cues I have seen. I am sure you will find enough people offering you some money for a quick flip if you turn out to sell it.

Man I love that cue.

that price is fair for 1 shafted cue,, but you can always add for second shaft -original finish--ect. the 6 even are very scarce
