How do you remove the weight bolt on a Joss and how much will this affect the balance
Thanks in advance

You'll need a 1/4" hex wrench that's at least 5 1/4" long.

I bought my set at Harbor Freight for about $5. The 1/4" wrench is 5 1/2" long and is just long enough to reach the weight bolt.

I'm not sure how removing or changing the weight bolt will affect balance. I only need to tighten my weight bolt.

Thanks for the info

I got my hex head screwdrivers at Harbor Freight too. On the subject of balance, I asked a cuemaker the other night who said my new cue would be 18.75 with the lightest bolt installed, and balancing at 19", how much the balance point would change if we put a heavier bolt in. He said, "minimally", but I don't think you really know how the playing qualities would change until you try it...Tom

i bought a weight bolt kit from ebay dont remember the price but it wasn't expensive... anyways it came with an allen wrench and a couple of different weights to choose from.

i took the weight out of mine and shot a few balls in it felt "gay" not good to me at all. the hit just wasn't pleasant at all good luck
