Am i missing something? Joss east seems to get a bad rap. Are they not worth the Money? I was thinking of getting one because they fit my budget and are not imported?

I own a lot of cues and have been playing for 40 years. My collector cues are Scruggs..Phillippi..Black Boar and an old Helmstetter....who can say which one of those is the best hitting cue? I bought them for a collection. The cue i take to my "B" rated tournament is a Bludworth (my favorite). Friday night bar tournament I take my Players cue. Quite honestly the way I have my players set up it play's amazing (Phillippi Shaft w Kamui soft tip) if you really like your cue and it play's good for you...who care's what other's think? $50 or $5000 dollars if you like it...use it.
there is no such thing as a joss east. there are " JOSS " and " JOSS WEST "
I think the "Bad rap" Joss gets is this; "Joss makes good cues, But they aint nowhere near as good as a Joss West" which is basically true. But if you look at it from a value received per dollar spent perspective, Joss may well be the better bargain..
They are one of the oldest, but not the oldest. Schmelke is the oldest continual maker of cues here in the USA as far as I know.I think Joss [east] has been making cues longer than anyone in the country.
