Joss original color of money?

Looks like a McDermott D17 to me 🤷🏼‍♂️ The white joint isn’t typical for a Schon.

I wonder if McDermott ever commented about having any involvement in Color Of Money 🤔 I’ve read somewhere that they donated 80 cues.

Dan says he made 99% of the cues, but Amos and Grady Seasons seem to contradict that statement. Maybe it’s 98% hahah
Pretty sure that's a Schon R12...apparently with a custom ivory joint sleeve. Very nice!

Question - is this the original color of money cue? See pics. Thanks! Serial number is D0752
It was a custom (I believe only 2 or 3 were made for the movie and Cruise and Newman each got one), that were later released as an J18 and then renamed N7...with variations (solid diamond inlays, notched diamonds, some with diamond inlays in the points, some without, big butt cap, short butt cap, Hoppe ring, arrows between the points, etc.). Apparently Dan never made any of the variations the same as the actual cues he made for the movie; although I've seen a couple out there that were pretty darn close. When the movie came out, I lusted after the J18, but you just couldn't find one, they flew off the shelves.

Also noticed Keiths using a different cue in the tournament scene. A six alternating point cue with white veneers. Matches another D series McDermott. A D-19.

My guess is either Keith is mistaken about using a Schon, or it looks like he probably used different cues while filming. And the Schon he claimed to use never made the final cut. All I see are McDermott D series 🤷🏼‍♂️

I would think, certainly can be wrong, but, wouldn't the movie originals be hand made and void of cnc rounded points?
