Just wanted to stir up a good thread for stories. I know some people from down in Mississippi have probably played pool in a Juke Joint. I have been to a couple to see a few blues bands play but never played much pool.Back where I grew up in NC we had "Bootleg" joints because the county I lived in was dry, now I did play alot of pool in these places as a teen and it's also where I learned the hard way what a slap jack was .....:bash: Still hurts me to even think about that.Who knows I may hit the road to a few places soon and need some recomendations . I went to the Subway (think thats what its called ) in Jackson ,MS .....great place ,good music ,and if I remember right it had a couple older tables.I'm a big blues fan and usually have that ,classic rock ,or jazz playing when I am at my home practicing.Suggestions and stories are welcome. I'm quite sure Joey A has been in a Juke joint or two.
