As I have mentioned before, I have used Atlas MP for ferrules since 1984 & they no longer carry it in ROD form. I am trying out a few ferrules, in the JUMA material & wondered what results anyone has had with it? Also, are you using it capped or with a through hole?. THANKS ...JER

I tryed it when it first came out and when I did it caped it looed great and was easy to work with but it got real soft ,like rubber.with a through hole it was ok.I think it alittle soft but I am also new so I could have done it wrong also. JMHO.jeff Eason

I had a cue that was made by Darrin Hill and I know that is all he uses. His cues play awesome. Is ferrules were non-capped.

I just recently switched to Juma ferulles also after using LBM since 1994. I like them so far. They machine really easy, almost like they are soft. But they hit really good so far. But I have only put about 10 of them on so far. One thing that I have noticed is when you go to polish the ferulle be careful it will melt.

I found this out 6 or 8 months ago. I polished with rubbing compound getting it hot, slid the ferrule back into the split collet and shaped the tip. When I pulled out the shaft the collets imprint was pressed into the ferrule.

Just curious, if Atlas was not actually making it, although they may have, you should be able to track down and find another place to get it. They can't have just been making it for Atlas. I would bet you will find it as a stock item somewhere. I bet there are stock stuff out there we have never heard of that will make great ferrules if you do enough research.

juma is not bad also not my favorite. i cap all my ferrules. stays clean machines very soft. almost too soft. as mentioned before dont get it too hot
