Jump Break Tip that works good for both jobs

Breaking and jumping require hard tips. But i don't think there is one that properly addresses both. I am using the Kamui Sai on my break cue and a Samsara on my jump cue.

Just switched from a Samsara to a C4 Break/Jump tip recently. They do come in different crazy colors, but also plain black if you don't like crazy.

Breaks better and I like the feel of the break better too. Holds chalk better too.

I bought a BK3, good cue but I would rather not carry so many cues in my case.

I would like a good tip to both Jump and Break with on my Break Cue instead.

I had a White Diamond installed, jumps fairly well and has grip on the Cue Ball but
is sort of sad when it comes to power on the break.

Anyone got a tip that has better grip (on their cue), than G10 and also is a good break tip?
My 2 cents
Any tip harder than a standard hard leather tip that really doesn't compress upon impact with the cue ball (and absorb some of the power/energy) will generate the same amount of power. from here on it's all about the speed of the stroke and accuracy.

If the table is fast (newish cloth) and balls are clean and the rack it tight like with a template, than there is no need for a very powerful break shot. in fact, reducing speed and improving accuracy will generate a better break, better spread and better chance of pocketing balls.
I've been actually testing breaking with standard playing tips for better accuracy over power and it works pretty well, just try to break with your playing cue ans see for yourself.

So if you jump well with the White Diamond (and no reason why you shouldn't be) than just practice your break stroke and fundamentals.

I have a BK2 cue with a White Diamond tip on a Raven carbon break shaft, the original phenolic tip on the original BK2 shaft and a Samsara J/B tip on a Players J/B cue (wooden shaft), all weigh about the same and testing with the Predator break speed app, I'm getting the same speed with all, which means that for the particular cue weight I move all at the same speed and get the same break regardless of the tip.

Odega

Let me add that the shaft just might have a little bit to do with the situation as well along with the player. :)

The Jacoby Blackout shafts jump very well even at full cue length.

I had a Samsara Break shaft that wasn't bad either.

The BK Rush shaft is functional for jumping but imo not at the level of the two above.

Right now I currently have dedicated break and jump cues. I could possibly be talked into changing the Horo Black Storm on my break cue. The White Storm on my Jump cue is there to stay. The damn thing jumps like a dart frog, and I am hardly Fedor Gorst...Probably more like Fredo Worse.
Let me know what you think when you try yours. I'm always open to options. Jadens product sounds interesting...
👍
I'm a recent convert to the White Storm and have installed it for a couple other people as well. It's easily the best jump tip I've ever used.

I was kind of thinking the same thing you posted here. Admittedly my hard stroke is not always perfect, so yeah its a challenge for sure.

If you like the WD, check out the Outsville HH2 tips.

I would describe them as being in the same family but HH2 transfers more power. It feels like the WD absorbs the energy more instead of imparting it to the CB. A simpler way to say it is the HH2 is a similar material but harder yet still holds chalk well/about the same as a WD. I find the HH2 to break harder.

I have the HH2 on my BK Rush. It breaks great when I don’t miscue. Unfortunately the tip hates Taom and Pagulayan chalk (and even Masters) unless I rough it up constantly, so if I don’t hit em square I miscue. I don’t have this issue if I break with a Taom 2.0.

The new Dr V Titlist chalk has been a godsend. It’s the only chalk I’ve found that makes it consistently usable.

I need 4 more break shafts to try all these tips! lol

Thank you.
