if you go cuetec just get the propel its legit and worth every penny under 500
but also the becue naked is on sale right now until friday also for under 500 new and i like it even better its very light even more than the propel but great control seemingly better than the cutec
the air rush is a bit pricey and heavier, good quality but after using all 3 im trying to get the becue naked jumper myself

I have the pechauer jump cue. It works real well
I currently own an Air Rush, Air II, Jacoby, and the Cuetec Avid Surge. I have also recently hit with a Cuetec Propel.
Cuetec Propel and Air Rush are both excellent top of the line modern jump cues. Really can't go wrong with either. They are pricey though. I play with the Air Rush as part of my main setup but I have to say I was surprised how easy the Propel was to jump with...I think it might be a tiny bit easier to jump with than the Air Rush, it's really good.
The Predator Air II is pretty nice and has the modern design with a two piece butt but is a little shorter and less expensive than the Air Rush. Only used it a bit, have it in a case with all traditional wood shafted cues and it's probably the best and most versatile wood shafted jumper I've used.
The Jacoby was my first jump cue and if you jump using a dart stroke I think it's the best. It gets up so easy using a dart stroke, it still surprises me sometimes what I'm able to get over with this cue. But....for a more traditional jump stroke I find it a little too short, that's it's big downside.
The Cuetec Avid Surge did not impress me. I bought it before the Air II for my wood shafted case but I found it surprisingly hard to jump with. Not a fan.

They really need to update this cue. They do have a longer jump butt but it's....well.....just a weird design. They need to make this closer to the Hanshew jumper which has the front section very similar to the standard Jacoby but with a screw on back extension. If they offered that I might still be using it as my main jump cue. Have thought about asking them if they could custom make me one....may still do that.

The new Rhino Billiards 3 piece jump cues are damn good. Around $300. I got one about 3 weeks ago and it's amazing how well it jumps.
It's nice to have the 3 piece as you can do the overhand/sidearm jump like all the pros do. I'm good at darting, but on the longer shots there is a reason why the pros all jump with the overhand/sidearm style. It's very accurate and aiming is more intuitive that way. Without the "extension" piece it's very uncomfortable to do. That little extra length makes it possible without being some kind of contortionist. And if you need to get up and down fast you can unscrew it and use it like a normal dart style jump cue.
And you know the full table jumps you can do with a playing cue, or just over the edge of a ball? You can jump underhand like that too and it does a wonderful job.
I've tried many brands of jump cues and while ANY dedicated jumper is better than a J/B combo, this thing is the bees knees. I'm not trying to shill for them or anything but I love the thing and highly recommend it.
I also have the Rhino jump cue.

The Air has two identical sections at 11.25 inch and 4oz while the Propel has the main front section at 15 inch / 4.25oz and the rear section at 3.45 inch / 3.25oz, this makes the Air maybe too short with one section and the Propel maybe too long.
The Rhino front section is 13 inch / 5.7oz and the rear section at 5.2 inch / 3.5oz
For close distance jumps, I think that the Air Rush will be best for dart stroke while the Propel will be better for a regular stroke and the Rhino is in between them. For long distance, I think that they all jump just as well

I bought the Cuetec Avid Surge Jump cue, and replaced the stock tip with the Horo White Storm dedicated Jump tip.

Get any cheap stick. Replace the tip with a phenolic one. Chop the handle; leaving at least 40" total length. Round the edge at the back. Done.
There are some options in the price point you are looking at. As long as you have good jump fundamentals, you can jump with anything on the market. Aside from budget, it comes down to how the cue feels to you, such as how its balanced and such. I use a jump cue that retails for $150 to jump 6 balls out of the rack one handed in shows and competition. So you don't need a jump cue that costs a lot.

I have a couple other J/B cues which are not ideal for either jump or break. They are now collectables anyway.
