Jump cue question

Is there an agreed circumference of the tip on a jump cue?
I guess I just shape all of tips to the nickel shape.
I friend was saying flatter is better when it comes to jump cues.

Is this true or false?

I believe your max MM is 15 at present. What tips are considered legal at present helps dictate the rest.

Flatter will typically work better to get over close balls.
I shape mine pretty round. I like to make the balls and be able to get shape as well.

I like mine more rounded, like Darcy has pictured. I've tried all different radii but it took more effort and a better stroke (than I have) to lift whitey with a flatter tip.

It isn't just me either. I had others test cues, without telling them what part was being tested. All had an easier lift with a nickel to dime, as opposed to flatter.
