Jump shot practice/challenge.

That sure looks like a Dr. Popper jump cue by McDermott. I have one in my arsenal. I just need to find time to practice with it.

Yes it is, but McDermott doesn't make it. That is made by Mark Dimick. He had a thing with McDermott at one time, but now he sells it just on his web site http://drpopperjumpq.com/

Mine is slightly modified. Instead of the flat tip it's shaped to a nickel and scuffed so that it will take chalk.

Thanks Scott, I've only been doing trick shots and jumping for a few months. I learned my technique from watching guys like Tom Rossman and Mike Massey on ESPN trick shot championships. That's also how I found out about the Dr. Popper jump cue. I e-mailed Tom one day and he was very helpful.
 
Very impressive jumping. Do you think you could jump even higher? Did you or anyone else notice on the 3 row shot that the object ball is struck twice before being pocketed?

You're right. The 8 ball bounces out of the pocket and hits the cue ball again before finally staying down. By that time I was so glad that it stayed in the pocket that I did not bother to shoot it again. I was having a hard time keeping the cue ball on the table using the Scorpion jump cue at that height. I really should have switched to the Dr. Popper at the 3rd shot instead of the 4th.
