Jumping

So I have been trying to learn how to jump for a while then this weekend I had an epiphany and now for all of a sudden I can jump with my playing cue.

The problem I was having is I was hitting too high on the cueball. Once I adjusted my aim to hit a bit below where I was hitting it before I can jump reliably without a jump cue.

Now granted, in the APA when I do this people get extremely irritated because supposedly people in the APA aren't supposed to be able to jump at all nevermind with their playing cue. It makes me extremely happy to piss people off so I do it anyway.

My next question is how to reliably get draw on a jump shot after hitting the object ball. Can we talk about cueball positioning with jump shots?

No big secret - hit lower. With a jacked up cue that means hit closer to yourself on the ball (farther "below" the center of mass). Draw on a jump shot is easy enough to get, but harder to control both distance and direction.
