I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to give it a shot! :p

$50 is a little steep for me to get killed by the A players, but I wouldn't mind coming to watch! :p

I'll spread the word around here and see if anyone is interested.

nice!

I'll definitely play, Sunday is a great day to have a tourny here in dallas and we've been needing a One-Pocket regular tourny. The only problem i see is a time limit per game being we do need to finish at a decent time, although time limits and one pocket just dont mix.

I'd like to play as well. if it can start around 10 or 11am then it's even better!
start early, end early~ dont really want to end up real late sunday and need to get up for big monday!

Time limits have been discussed ....we said 45 minutes for round robin match...and we'll increase the time for the matches in the tournament to an hour.

I guess I'm a cheap player! :p I don't play for much! :p

However, if it's Round Robin I guess I'd get to play a little more! :p

Maybe I can get TxOnePocket to stake me! :p

cant wait!!! will spread the word and try to bring a few people from waco ( will be hard, not many people in waco play one pocket ) let me know if you need some cue repair i dont mind throwing the lathe in the truck if i need to. looking foward to it

thats good, i would rather play and watch anyway...........is this tournament open to everyone?

Hey Zack, can I assume you're going to keep track of ball scores for future handicapping? I think it'd be interesting to see how close the games are. :p

Got any idea how many are coming? I'm hoping it won't last until Monday morning! :p

sorry Samiel I'm in Vegas until early Sunday Morning the tournout is supposed to be good and yes records will be kept

Where were you today TxOnePocket? You could have practiced beating up on me! As it was, I got to play Amos some... and later on I got to meet Chen and play him a couple racks of one pocket as well (he doesn't usually play one pocket). I have to say Chen has a pretty smooth stroke! :p

I'll see you tomorrow at the tournament!

Well, I just got back from the tournament. A big Thank You to rack'em zach'em for running the show! I know it was a long day for you, since you just got back from Vegas.

Diamonds is a great pool room! It's definitely not a banger's spot. There's no smoking in the room itself, but I don't smoke anyhow. They have eight 9' foot Diamond tables and one 7' Diamond bar box. They also have a raised area for watching matches. It's a nice room and very classy. You can tell that pool is the center of attention for the place.

I believe there were 15 players in the tournament. We started off with three groups of 5 players for round-robin. The top 4 from each group advanced to a single-elimination, race to 2. The tournament was handicapped so everyone had a chance.

Notable appearances...

David G.
C. J. Wiley
Ironman
TxOnePocket

The top 3 players were paid out of the remaining 12 players. Final results were...

1st - Ironman
2nd - Samiel
3rd - Brandon (???)
4th - David G. (on the bubble)

I'll leave it to rack'em zach'em to fill in any other details.

It was a good turn-out, considering it was Father's Day. The tournament was great, so I recommend any players in the area to come out and play!
