for my edification.

how much would a cue approximately weight if it had,,,

1...a standard(call that average) 13mm shaft.
2...ivory COLLAR
3...g10 pin
4...BEM nose, no prongs
5...standard linen wrap
6...BEM butt with 3/4" delrin butt plate

no weight bolts or metal pins of any kind. just an approximation for a cue built with "average" density wood.

so then you NEED metal pins to bolster the weight,,,or maybe core the maple with a heavy wood, or use a heavy wood in the grip? but then adding a denser wood to add weight would also change the maple hit...so for a pure maple hit, metal pins are the only option to get the weight to 18-18 1/4oz?

would a bubinga handle(i love the hit of bubinga) bring the weight up to 18+, and if so, where would the balance be with a g10 pin?

in other words,,,with the same specs as above with a bubinga grip and g10 pin...could i get 18-18 1/4oz, and 18" balance?
