Just an idea

OK. from time to time when i get bored i come up with some silly ideas. Maybe it might work, maybe it might not. Just don't Skewer me!

A while back, someone was saying something about getting people from AZ to chip in and help send some guys affiliated here to a tournament event to cover it. Commentary, video of hot match ups, interviews with players etc etc. Sorry for the hazy description but that is how my mind works!

Anyway. Some people did comment that they do not like to chip in if they do not get some sort of return. I can understand that.

So how bout this. The people that we can send to cover the event pre sell these coverages in DVD format or something. If enough sale is committed then its a go! I would like to see a reliable party taking care of the sale so that it is affordable and still financially viable to keep it up.

The incentive for the team doing the coverage beside being sent to these event, they can also try to improve on their profit by selling advertising on the DVD like I see most clips have.

So. AZ come up with some seed money for the idea to work, in return we get some nice coverage, The team gets to go, and some nice profit as motivation. Win-win for all?

Someone thought of this idea before? Good? No good? Can work? Cannot work?

Any idea is a good idea when it come to Billiard. With over 21,300 Az member, just think if each member gave a $1.00 each month. What action match video could be made.

Just think if Each member was to donate a $1.00 USD to -say a charity like Paul Newman "The hole in the wall" in memories of Paul Newman for his contribute to the Billiard World you think that would happen? That would be
well over $21,300.00 USD.

Dick...A nice gesture, but it wouldn't have much effect, since Newman's charities have already donated more than $250,000,000. I don't think they're too needy, at this point. Even with Newman gone, those charities are self-sustaining, through his food companies.
