I am reminded of 9/11 every day.
Right after 9/11 it seemed like almost every front yard or car had flags mounted...For a short time the street corner flag sellers made a mint.
You don't see the flags on cars any more and there are still the select flags in front yards, but there is one that popped up that is still going strong to this day.
There is a lady that Jogs in my hood every moring. I see her out jogging every day as I drop my kids off for school, make the stop at QT for coffee before I start my journey to work.
Right after 9/11 she started dressing in Red, White and Blue and started carrying a "HUGE" Flag. She held the pole on her shoulder as she ran and the flag was at least double the size of her...(it has to be heavy after a while)
Well 7 years later...she does not always wear Red, White and Blue...but she still always carrys that HUGE flag with her every single day.
There is also a combination that I know of somewhere in the world (I am not telling where...
) that uses the numbers 9-11-01
Just thought I would thow that out there...even though I don't really pay attention to those threads...(actually there are a ton of threads that I don't pay attention to) I still remember exactly where I was when that event happend.
Just like I still remember exactly where I was when the Space Shuttle blew up just after launch.
