Just back from the Expo and not very happy

Can anyone that at the SBE tell me their opinion of the 3C setup area. I' m under the impression the 3Cushion Tables will be available each night after the tournament. 3kushn [Tom Paley] or Dieckman will be the one to see. But maybe I can get more info from Paul Frankel.

Doitforthegame.. hope you don't think I'm highjacking your post. I'm in Virginia Beach.Va and won't be at SBE.

Do they still sell the tables after the tournament? Sorry if im thinking of another tournament but I think they sell the tables, right?

I've been out of the game for about 10 years so... Be gentle. :)

All the tables are for sale

All of the tables at this event are for sale as far as I Know, just talk to Brian or one of the guys at the Diamond Booth.

Tournament used smart tables (coin-ops) are usually being bought by vendors and room owners from around the Northeast. Buying directly from the tournament allows for some money to be saved on shipping.

There should also be a limited amount of Pro-ams (no coin chutes) available that are being used in various vendor booths around the Expo. There aren't vary many maybe 6-8 could be more maybe less, but if you are interested in one for your home talk to someone at the Diamond booth as soon as you get to the Expo. The 7' Pro-ams usually sell out.

Someone said in a previous post that the 3 cushion tables were also for sale and to talk to whoever is running that event if you are interested in those tables.

I wish I was there! Have fun and thanks for all the updates

I'm in new Orleans, not going to the expo, I just overheard a local room owner talking about trying to buy a new diamond table for his room, just thought about this and was going to give him a heads up if they were for sale... I've never been to the expo, are all the tables 7' or do they have some 9's?

They have 9's too

They have 9 foot tables in the Pro arena. I don't know if they're Smart tables or Pro-ams, maybe both, but also for sale.

If your in New Orleans, there is a July event in Tunica and that would save you money on shipping, buying your table from a closer event.

Yea that would help alot, its not for me, but for a local room owner, not even sure if they are looking but I overheard a conversation... Just trying to help them out.

All the action tables are set up in the vendor area. Allen is trying to figure out how to keep it open until midnight or beyond.

If it's not possible then he has to shut it down and have everyone go over to the $10 play all you can area.

Allen says that the venue isn't big enough for all the tables they need and the tournament might spill over into the action area if he needs to move more tables in there.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute

I just got back from SBE. The vendor area felt smaller than Valley Forge's, but there was still everything I would have wanted at a billiards expo. The appearance of the facility is several notches down from Valley Forge (it looks like a warehouse), but people aren't there for the decor. The bottom line: it's nothing special, but it suffices for SBE's purpose.

Yes. Diamond is selling the tables. They have a "special" with the tournament tables. Financing can be done for home or business tables.
