Just finished watching "Turn the River."

Won't say anthing about the story because I don't want to spoil it for anyone that has not seen it yet...except to say the pool shots displayed were disappointing. Lots of shots of the balls flying into the pockets, a la TCOM.

Oh well...this was not a "pool movie" IMO.

It had potential to be a powerful drama...but it fell flat.
I don't think there will ever be a decent movie about life in the pool world during modern times....even in this movie pool was portrayed as a hustler's way of life.

I guess when it comes down to brass tacks...it really is.
