Should have saved your money for a real pool table. It might still be available, if you can cancel that Diamond Pro.

You can. Simply find out the cost. Write down the amount and a picture of the table were you can see it often. You WILL gravitate to achieving this goal. Of course having the room for one could enlarge the goal.
Don't give up! You only live once and It's not that long! Get yourself that table!

I've been saving for this Table for about 4 years (other priorities pop up, like kids) but I finally was in the position to pull the trigger. Im in the process of finishing my attic for a dedicated pool room / bar. So far so good...will post pics of the completed project in about 4 weeks. Set a goal and work towards achieving it and you too will have a table, no doubt.

If you are putting the table in your attic you better make sure you have FLOOR joists up there instead of just putting a floor on CEILING joists. Otherwise you will be sagging very soon. Or you will have a pool table one level down. All houses are designed differently! Good luck!

Thanks for the tip and your concerns. I hired a engineer to ensure my current attic flooring was built for a live load. There was one section above my master room (tray ceiling) that needed to be modified which was performed by a license general contractor. My biggest obstacle is re-routing the existing 2nd floor HVAC duct to make room for the table. This is also being done by a HVAC contractor. The rest of the work I can handle myself and shouldn't take long as most of the framing is already in place.

Of course you live in Florida and not Michigan! What is it about all the good tables for sale seem to be on the west or east coast or in the deep south? I have been looking for a GC or antique Brunswick for months now. I would prefer an 8 or 8 pro but if the right table came along could make room for a 9.

I've been looking for a Diamond for a descent price somewhere near Nebraska too. Not much has popped up. I have a really nice 9' antique table about to go on the market though if you feel like swinging down this way If I find a Diamond I'll have a GC on the market too.
