Keith what does accu-stats pay the players for having the match on tape. is it also true, that if you don't sign a waiver for accu-stats. you can't play in the tournament. it seems like Pat Fleming has a good thing going for himself. he gets a good price for his tapes.

Nomoney, Pat Fleming does not make anybody sign anything, to my knowledge. Accu-Stats has been around for a long time. They are the pioneer when it comes to bringing some of the best pool in the form of DVD's and videos to the public. Pat and Accu-Stats have always treated the players well.

I don't know how much it costs to produce one of those videos or DVD's, but I'm sure he's not in the same company as Oprah. I can't think of anybody who is more deserving, though. To tell you the truth, I don't think there are too many people making much of anything in this pool world as it sits today, but without the Pat Flemings of the world, pool doesn't have a prayer to ever rise above the popularity of turtle races or hot dog eating contests.

As far as the players making any money, Pat Fleming has always treated me just fine. He gives every player a royalty check based on the sales of the video or DVD, and I, for one, appreciate it. :)

While I'm on the topic, I also want to express my appreciation to BCN and Rob Sykora. You should see the equipment Billiard Club Network brings to these events. The technology is amazing, and he really tries hard to make things happen. Sometimes the technology doesn't pan out the way it is supposed to, especially in a real-time scenario. It is my hope to see BCN continue its mission to bring live pool action onto our computers and into our living rooms.

Rob Sykora and Pat Fleming are definitely some of the good guys in my book! Without them, our pool world would not be as bright as it is. Because of their efforts, taking a huge financial risk every time they go to one of these big events, this pool world is a little better for it, in my opinion, and I applaud their efforts!

Cut Shot, as far as the best professionally recorded video or DVD, I'd have to say the one of me and Jose Parica at the '03 Open. I got a copy of the DVD, and I'd rate it as first-class coverage. :)
