Scotty, Been there several times. Advanced Course, Expert Course, Instructor Certification and Instructor Upgrade. VERY happy with the knowledge gained and improvments in my game.

See you in Charlotte!

Is this Randy Gottlicher's pool school? If so I just went to it.

The session I went to in Hartford, CT. had some deficiencies mostly due to the fact that Randy was not running it himself. I have addressed these deficiencies in email correspondence with Randy and needn't go in to them here.
Even with the deficiencies, Randy is worth the price of admission by himself. He is the finest pool instructor I have ever had. Besides the fact that I am convinced the SPFF system works, Randy's dynamic persona and teaching techniques bring the lessons home with great clarity. I would highly recommend any pool school where Randy is the lead instructor. I didn't agree with everything he taught, but the core of the school is SPFF and that I find helps my game. Since completing the course July 17 I have had 4 matches in 2 leagues, I went 3-2, 4-1, 5-0, 4-1; not bad for an old hacker like me.

Of course if this isn't Randy's school forget all that I just said. ;)

Pool School?

Not to go off subject, but has anyone attended Tom Simpsons clinics?...he's holding one in my area in Aug and I'm strongly considering attending.

Is the Cuetec school the same as the one run by Allison and Gerda?

BTW...

Tom is a BCA Master Instructor and has a permanent school in Ohio.

If you're talking about the Cue-Tech Pool School, it in no way is affiliated nor should it be confused with Cuetec Cues. I assume Randy Goetlicher aka RandyG would be traveling to Charlotte,NC and hook up with Steve Jennings aka pooltchr. If Allison Fisher is holding some kind of "Cuetec Pool School" in Charlotte, then I have no idea about that one.

The Cue-Tech Pool School is definitely worth the money. They show you things about your own game that you could never discover on your own. They show you a method of stroking and sighting such that you have a baseline to go back to when your game goes awry. And consequently, they show you a method to get your game more consistent (with effort on your part, obviously).

If its Randy's class you wont be disappointed. I was in the same class as Catscradle and came away impressed by the information I've received.

Now incorporating that into my game may take a bit of time. Catscradle/Steve has been playing for longer than I so we're going to take away different things from the class. I'm a skeptical s.o.b to begin with, but what I was being taught was an extension of what I'm already doing so I could buy into it (so to speak).

At worst you come away from the class with what Fred states, which is worth the $ alone. I'll need more time to reap further rewards form the class, but I'm seeing good improvement 2 weeks out of class.

This IS a Cue-Tech road show pool school, with RandyG, myself, Cane, and Pooltcher (Steve Jennings) as instructors. The dates are Oct. 14-16. It will be a great opportunity for anyone wanting to improve their game! Randy and I (with additional instructors) also have a road show pool school scheduled for Sept. 9-11, in Chicago.
Anyone wanting information on either school may PM or email me.

WOW!!!! What a cast of instructors. That would by itself allieviate one the prime deficiencies I mentioned in regard to the road show version I attended. Knowing now how really good an instructor Randy is and throwing in you guys, all I can say is that the people attending this session will be very pleased with what they receive or they're deaf, dumb, and blind.

I would recommend it highly to you, Tom is a fine teacher and uses a good building block structure to his class and is very easy to understand. There is enough video involved to see your weaknesses up close so you know where to work later. The class is also not overly drill orientated like some instructors, there is ample time to work on the skills taught, but not overly repetitive. So your actulally spending your time getting information, not standing around doing the same drill all day.

BTW, Randy G is also a Master BCA Instructor as well.

I agree. Although I've never been to Tom's school, he and I were in the same instructor upgrade class at RandyG's pool school in Dallas. Tom is a fine gentleman and a very good instructor.

Ditto!! I was there with Fred and really had a brainful of knowledge to take home with me to drill with in the future.

But I have to also say that if you can get one-on-one instruction with a BCA Certified/Advanced or even a BCA Master instructor, you're still doing yourself a favor.
