Hmmm...Work is slow today, and I am bored. So a thought occured while I am looking at a custom cue that I recently picked up.
Why is it that all the measurements on a cue is done in US Customary Unit with only one exception, the tip size - which is done in Metric System of millimeter?
For example, the weight is calculated in oz, length and balance point in inches, growth per inch, etc... But the size of the tip is done in millimeter.
Perhaps some pool historians can explain.
