Dacue,
Thanks for the question. In the 15 years of making the Justis case, the only complaint I ever seemed to hear was related to the weight. After hearing this year after year, I decided it was time to address the weight issues even though sales were up on the tube type case. There has been some doubts about the lighter weight case offering the same protection as the tube type cases. I can only offer this....if your one of those individual that wants to test the durability of your case by running over it with your SUV or dropping it out of a 3 story building I would suggest using something other than a cue case. I can guarantee if this happens with any of the tube type cases available on the market today, whatever is inside the case will suffer damage. I sincerely feel that the ProLite interior built around a solid PVC tube with the individual sewn liners offers more than sufficient protection for your cues in normal day to day use. There is way less friction against the finish of the cue since it is not rubbing against the side of a hard tube every time the cue is placed in and removed from the case. The liners, being resilient, move with the cue during transportation unlike having the cue bouncing from side to side in a tube type case. I feel the new ProLite design has exceeded my expectations in providing a high quality, light weight case without compromising on protection of your fine cues.
