Hi Sarah,

The Juvenile Diabete's Research Foundation, pool tournament, in Jackson, Mi. is a go.

The tentative date of Sept. 4th has been confirmed and is now the definite date. The best part is, that we will have it done in time for the Annual Walk For a Cure. :)

Alice has confirmed her participation.

I have rounded up some wonderful sponsors. They are donating items for door prizes. Additionally, one sponsor is donating a new cue to raffle off. I'm sure an autographed cue will sell more tickets. ;)

I need a fax number for you so I can email a flyer and directions.

I'm hoping to start the tourny at noon, with doors opening at 10:00.
If this is a problem, please let me know relatively soon as I am ready to get the flyer to the print shop.

Also, if you want to come up the night before, or stay the night of the tourny, let me know and I will make reservations for you at a nearby hotel.

Thank you so much for your participation. I know this will be a huge success. :)
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for getting back to me. I am really excited about this.

I will send you a private message with the information you are requesting.

To anyone that will be in the area, please stop by. The money that is raised is going to a great cause that is near and dear to my heart. Plus it would be great to meet more of you.

Take care,
Sarah

1st Annual Juvenile Diabete's Research Foundation, fundraiser pool tournament.

Sept. 4th @ noon.

Avenue Billiards
2410 E. Michigan Avenue
Jackson, Mi
(517) 788-9953

This will be a Jack & Jill Scotch Doubles Race to 7 SINGLE elim. with $25 entry fee proceeds going to the foundation. Players auction to be distributed back to the players.

I have a great number of local and national chain sponsors who have donated items and certificates for door prize drawings. 50/50 drawings to be held throughout thee event.

Alice Rim and Sarah Rousey, 2 active touring WPBA professionals will be present and will be signing autographs. :)

Sarah Rousey was 2003 WPBA rookie of the year and has been seen on ESPN. She is also a juvenile diabetic and a great gal.

Alice Rim is a top 25 womans WPBA touring professional and is a house pro at Hall of Fame Billiards in Warren, Mi. She gives great instruction at a very reasonable rate.

A generous donor has donated a new pool cue to be autographed and raffled off at the end of thee event, with a ticket price of a mere $10.

I am sure this tournament will be a huge success to benefit a darn good cause. And hopefully will be the 1st of many years to come.

If you aren't in the midwest that week, but would like to donate: :)

Hey Pelican,

Darn good idea!
If they are into this, it seems as if you will need a partner. After all, it wouldn't be fair for you to win the whole thing alone :D ...besides, it is Jack & Jill...what do you say? I'll be the Jill to your Jack?

Pelican, you are too funny. I think the Professor might be right....you might end up winning the tournament without ever showing up :)

Thanks for the donation whether you are there or not.

Take care,
Sarah

If you would both just send cardboard cut-outs of yourselves so we could imagine you are there playing.

Take care,

Well, the cardboard cut-out would stand a better chance of winning than if I showed up and shot in person! (Hey, there Pelican...no changing your mind... a deal's a deal...even if it's only in spirit. ;) )

Hey Sarah, I got one of them things in the other day. I leave it in the middle of my living room so the house won't blow away if a tornado comes :D

Hey Pel,

I think the book will definitely keep your house from blowing away. I just use mine as a step stool sometimes. All joking aside, it is a great book.

Take care,
Sarah

Hum, you may not be old enough to recognize the take off.

I haven't has a chance to use mine yet. I like anything that has different drills that I have not used or thought of.

3 1/2 Days till we leave for the APA Nationals. Chompin' at the metal bridge, uh bit. :D
