I finally got time to finish a cue and use one of the leather wraps I purchased from JW Petree. They are awesome. I bought several different patterns and they are all top notch. Best I've run across!

I have purchased over 50 blanks from JW up until now, and they have been very good. Great Pricing, and stands behind the leather... BTW Nice contrast on the cue - CamposCues.jazznpool said:The color of that wrap fits that cue nicely Chris! I like JW Petree's wraps too.

rhncue said:Everybody has their own tastes, of coarse, but I kind of thought that that color of wrap was a little to much on that cue. It matches the color of the cue to closely. I think I would have liked the wrap a little different color so that there would be a little bit of contrast. Just my opinion of coarse.

I like the wrap, but be a man and show us the seam. Just kidding![]()
Personally I think its a good color for the cue, my only comment would be that the croc is a little busy for the burl in the butt sleeve.

I too have a hard time signing cues. I am not known for good writing on flat surfaces much less round.CamposCues said:Okay, here's the seam as promised. I was hoping no one would call me out on itIt came out okay. Now if I could just learn how to write legibly on a dang round piece of wood. I can never get a nice looking signature. Quite possibly the largest cue building hurdle I've had to deal with j/k. I'm thinking of going with the story that I have my 3 year old son sign them for me to make them special!

This reminds me of a time I sold a jump cue to a guy and I signed it. He called me and said the stamp I stamped the cue with did a horrible job and I should let him get me a stamp made that wouild do a good job. I told him it was not stamped but my actual signature. He started apologizing and told me how much he appreciates it once he knew I had signed it. He was just trying not to hurt my feelings at that point. He was right. My signature looked lousy just like my real life handwriting and that is why I engrave my logo now.Chris Byrne said:I too have a hard time signing cues.
