I have one installed on my synergy shaft, plays very good. I don’t use that cue now I play with a cue I had refurbished. I have 2 CF shafts, a Jacoby Kielwood shaft and 2 Tiger LD shafts. They all play good but the Tiger shafts are 12 yrs old and have the best feel and feedback.

I have installed a lot of Kamui Athlete Medium tips for customers and feedback has been very good. I just got Kamui Athlete Soft tips in stock and have installed a few, cut like butter. Is there any validity to it being a carbon fibre shaft specific tip? I really can't see the science behind that.

I've been using them on a couple shafts, Rhino and Jacoby v4, for about a month now. Just tried it out for something different and I really like how it plays. It started a little mushrooming out after 3 weeks but nothing crazy. Reshaped the tip and it still plays good. I play about 15-20 hours a week so have put some time into them. I haven't experienced any glazing and they are still grippy with good feel and control. I'd recommend checking them out if you're looking to try something new.

Cheers!

I had to ask my milk dud maker to make a special batch of slightly softer tips when I switched to carbon fiber.
Admittedly they are not CF specific, but they play a tad softer than his normal recipe. Can't see what would make a tip CF specific.

Same here. I have 3 Revo cues and 1 Cynergy and I play with my old Joss sneaky with a Z shaft. . .HillbillyIslandLife on YouTube. Check it out! 9 ball Speed Pool in 60 seconds or less. . .

The idea of layered tips was to provide consistency throughout the life of the tip as you reshape it and sand it down.

The idea if a tip that is constructed with bottom hard layers and top soft layers will guarantee loss of consistency as you go down in layers.

Kamui claims its the first tip made for carbon-fiber shafts:
Kamui has stepped up the game with the first tip designed specifically for use with carbon fiber shafts. The Kamui Athlete tip is made to enhance the performance of your carbon fiber shaft through a perfect balance of elasticity and rigidity, giving you the control you crave. Constructed with soft layers on the top and hard layers on the bottom, the Athlete complements the characteristics of your carbon fiber shaft, maximizing its responsiveness and feel. You'll experience a cue ball that reacts exactly how you intend, revolutionizing your game.
