Kamui Chalk on Ebay....

I've mentioned this before in another thread. I know a former pro who said he believes it is worth every dime. For his skill level that probably is true.
For me masters or even Diamond is good enough.
It's their money to spend it the way they want.No one should be upset at the price. For me the jury is still out because i have heard of the cube cracking after awhile.

I use a Kamui Black medium tip and master chalk...

If people are crazy enough to pay this much for one piece of chalk that has no collectibility value (such as being used by Mosconi to win a world championship, made 200 years ago etc...), donate that money to a children's hospital or something. People are just plain stupid these days.....

I absolutely love these types of posts for some reason. I chuckle every time I read them. You say people are crazy and people are stupid to buy a piece of chalk at that price yet at the same time there are thousands of people that will call you crazy for using a kamui black tip. Don't you know you can get a plain solid leather tip for 50 cents? Then you have the people that think it's crazy to have a custom cue worth over $1,000, or some will say $500, or some will say a custom plain jane for $300, etc... Then you have the folks saying "just get a good production cue", followed by the people that say "you guys are all morons, they have cues available right on the walls at the pool hall".

The bottom line is, just like what you would reply regarding your tip or your cue, you bought it because you LIKE it, you WANT it, and hopefully it improves your game somewhat (even if it's just a confidence issue in your own head). Guess why the people are getting the kamui chalk? For the SAME FREAKIN REASON you bought a $25 tip!!!

Not sure where you buy tips, but I did not pay 25 bucks for my tips lol... And a pool cue will last you a lifetime, and a tip much longer than a "piece" of chalk... I am chuckling as well...

Way to completely miss the point of the post! Who cares if you paid 18 bucks or 14 bucks for your kamui tip ... the point is, others will say you are crazy for spending more than 50 cents. I'd like to think you at least knew that was what I was getting at. Also, how often do you go through chalk? It's not like a cube of chalk is going to only last you 5 hours or something.

I just don't get how people can justify the hell out of what they feel like buying but want to crap all over people who have the cash and want to spend it on the latest and greatest thing. If some person came on here and called you an absolute idiot for buying a kamui tip, wouldn't you tell them to mind their own business? Would your reply be that you will get what you want to get? Yet you turn around and call people crazy and stupid because it's chalk? Why? Chalk lasts a long time just like a tip. The tip is important because it's what hits the cue ball, but isn't the chalk between the tip and the cue ball? If you have suddenly turned so frugal, why not just use some Sportcraft chalk? That 9 cents per swipe of the Kamui chalk is just so horribly expensive compared to the less than 1 cent a swipe that Master gives you. But hey! Sportcraft chalk is only like 0.2 cents a swipe! (And please don't bother breaking it down mathematically like you tried to do with your tip price comment, it's a general point I'm going with here.)

Whatever, I don't care what you spend your money on or don't spend you money on, that's the entire point of my thread. Try getting the point and stop calling people names just because they want to spend money on what they want to ... yet it's not what you want to spend your money on. The whole point is, if you can call people stupid for buying Item X, why can't others call you a moron for buy tip Y or cue Z? Who knows, maybe you just don't get my point, and if so, feel free to continue chuckling and rolling your eyes, it's your right. Just as it is other people's right to buy expensive chalk as opposed to only buying the chalk that you approve of, heh.

This is the one.

Wow, keep taking your girl out for Big Macs on your anniversary. Remind her that super sizing her fries is your way of expressing your love for her! Those of us who have enough money to not have to wear the same set of overalls for weeks at a time will buy whatever the hell we feel like buying .. but thanks for expressing your absolutely worthless vote regarding my opinion about pool accessory purchases.

No, and I haven't tried crack either.

Gee .... that's a great comparison.....

Edited to add:

Kamui does last longer than any other chalk out there.
How much longer is still up for debate.
Kamui is the best chalk made to date.
Kamui chalk is way too expensive.
Kamui chalk is NOT for everyone.
Before people bash the chalk and call people names, maybe common sense would tell them to try it out first.
I have the belt.....

:)

So , you havent tried it yet . then how can you comment on its value.

im still testing, so far it looks like its worth the price of a meal at Outback Steak house.

but thats just the opinion of someone who has ACTUALLY tried it.
