kamui chalk

I agree with Scott.. I have never seen any pro play with it or anyone else for that matter

I just don't know where they came up with this price from, its really funny
Paying alot for a cue, case, shaft, even a tip is one thing.. But this is a piece of chalk!!!!

Louis Ulrich and Mika use it......

I have tried both versions, but will stick with Blue Diamond thank you very much!!!

I am sure it is excellent chalk, but chalk can only be so good. Its job (only job) is to stop miscues. I rarely miscue and when I do no chalk could prevent it. If you chalk up before you shoot you won’t miscue unless you hit outside the miscue limit. $30 is ostentatious pricing, it is being sold to those that will spend lots of $ to fix their real or imagined problems. They may have one or more of the following problems.

They lack the desire to fix their problems through practice, they lack the desire, talent or intelligence to study, they are too arrogant to take good instruction, they do not understand what “good chalking habits” will do for your game, they want to buy something to fix a problem instead of fixing the problem by working on it and I just realized how long this list could be.

Kamui is “putting one over” on the public by getting to a specific type of person; there will always be this type of person around. To those who say “try it you will see”, I say I know my problems and chalk isn’t going to fix any of it; not at $2-$200 a cube, YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW OR ARE UNWILLING TO WORK ON YOUR PROBLEMS for whatever reason. And yes I am sure it is fantastic chalk.

Some miscues are so far off that no amount of chalk would have prevented it.

However, I believe there is a fine line on shots where having the right amount of chalk in just the right spot will prevent a miscue and if the right amount of chalk was there on the exact same hit then the miscue never would have happened.

I've been of the opinion it was way overpriced from day one,,,,,,I play snooker or one pocket with my brother on sunday nights, and he's been saying he wanted to try the Kamui chalk. So anyway, I run across a deal on 2 pieces, and buy them. I tried it on my Nitti with a sniper tip a few times, and really not impressed. So this week, we played snooker, and I use my schon with an OB2 shaft and Kamui Black Soft tip when I play snooker. I scuffed the Kamui Black well, then chalked good with the Kamui chalk (1.21), and then decided to just play it till I miss-cued. We played 5 frames, and I never did miss cue with it, and, the tip still looked well covered when we quit.

I can only assume that this chalk works much better on Kamui tips,,,,,,,maybe even softer Kamui tips,,,,,,,,,but it's still way overpriced IMO.

Dude i have a question.. i'm doing the same dps in 4.3.4 EU Dun Modr server to same dummy using Heroic Strike instead of slam, and completing the rotation with slam when everything is in CD...

the question is, isn't heroic strike worth using Berserker Rage on CD to generate extra rage to when boss aoe dmg hits u to use HS with 3 points spent in "incite" talent?

i'm doing less dps using slam and stance dance coz it seems to delay my rotation... i'm 396 ilvl btw.

music rox!

i wait your answer!

Whirlwind, cleave and bladestorm is all you need.

Sheep of the pool world, read this ^ again. The market segment Kamui is going for is the same as most of the golfing community. Golfers, who generally suck at what they do, try to buy a game with the latest, greatest, and most expensive. The "real" pool players that I know use the same cue for years and are loathe to change anything in their game that they don't have to. Do you think Tweeten sponsors 95% of the pro players? Maybe they do, or else these "pros" that we ooh and aah over can afford $1000 a set action but can't buy a $30 piece of chalk to transform their game. Hell, even if Tweeten sponsored them they would peel the Master's labels off and put them of Kamui chalk. I doubt they do. Watch a few matchs on YouTube and see what the pros use, usually some random ass piece of chalk with a red label.

Can't agree. I'd be with you if Kamui chalk was simply a rebadged Masters, but it's not. It's unique and offers a very distinct alternative to all other chalks. Entirely up to the individual if they want to spend the money on it or not, but it's not a con.

I think Kamui would sell better with a price point like Blue Diamond, or Balabushka Chalk, but where it is at now NO WAY JOSE!

I got lucky and found a piece of Kamui at the DCC in February, 2012. Tried it out and found that it suited me. I play at least 5 times a week and still use the same piece of Kamui. In fact it will last for a couple more months. Average cost would be less than 10 cents a day. Some may find this to expensive and others are willing to pay the price.

To me price was not a factor until I was satisfied with the product. Since then I purchased another piece for a spare. To each his own --- I really like it and have a good enough Social Security check to afford it.

I was trying to ignore this post and move on...trying...

You throw out ignorant and uniformed opinions generalizing every person that buys Kamui chalk calling into question their desire, talent and intelligence to improve their game. I've read countless books, articles and magazines to help improve my game. I've had personal instruction from one of our AZ family. You stand on your soap box spewing this bs and then try to say that "good chalking habits" will help your game? Really?

And yes, I'm that type of person who Kamui "put one over" on. I bought the chalk originally just to try, because to be honest, I've blown $25 on stuff way stupider than this in my life as I'm sure most of us have. I didn't buy it because I thought it was going to fix a flaw in my stroke, alignment, PSE or anything else. I bought it because I was open minded enough to try something new and see if it worked for me. That's right, some of us do things to form our own opinions, not because I was trying to take a short cut to greatness from buying a cube of chalk.

Do I miscue less? Maybe, wasn't a big issue for me to begin with. I love the chalk and wouldn't hesitate to buy another cube purely for the fact that I don't have to chalk after every shot. I guess I'll never develop "good chalking habits" and should retire since that's the key to success.
