Kamui - new tips

Well, I wasn't going to say anything but you were talking about using a tip tool but.......

I've always been told that you should never use one of those porcupine tip tools on LAYERED tips but even so, if I remember correctly some of the people who pay attention to this sort of thing, said that the porcupine tip tool helps to delaminate the tip, not glaze it over. Anyway, school is still out.

Only use the Cuetec "BowTie" texturiser on it that is designed for deglazing etc. did not use the tip pick part or porcupine as you called it. The thing i used is just a scuffer to rough the surface up!

Thanks. I have never seen the CueTec BowTie. Have to check it out. Thanks,

i've heard that too, but i don't think that's true. I've tip pik'd layered tips for years and never had one delaminate or anything. I think as long as you are just carefully poking small holes into the tip and not going crazy and twisting it or something, you should be fine.

if the tip mushrooms y dont you just give it to the guy who put it on and say fix it. i will say this the new kamui ss mushroomed on me but i fixed it and its fine. but with the last generation of kamui black my ss or s never mushroomed.

Quite interesting. I use a sniper with an occasional ulti-mate tip tool tapping.

I don't get too play too often these days, but the tip hasn't changed shape in over two years of play!

I'd like to try one of these new Kamuis though!

kamui M II

I tried the tan kamui MII tip as well. It was fine at first but I had to scuff continuously about 2 layers down. Miscues were common with this tip, had to go back to triangle. I have one of these tan MII and will trade it for a black S or SS just to try them if anyone is interested. JSS
